Severin Films unleash more Italian schlock cinema on Blu-ray in June

Having previously released Zombie 3, Zombie 4 and Shocking Dark, Severin Films is now unleashing two more Italian exploitation movies from Bruno Mattei and Claudio Fragasso on Blu-ray, plus the infamous ‘video nasty‘, The Beast in Heat (read our review).

All three movies have been scanned from the original negative materials, Robowar and Night Killer in 4K. Coming June 25, 2019:

Robowar:

A jungle sci-fi actioner that rips off both Robocop and Predator directed by Mattei and scripted by Fragasso and Rossella Drudi, starring Reb Brown, Catherine Hickland, Massimo Vanni and Jim Gaines.

  • “War in the Phillipines”: Interview with actor/stuntman Massimo Vanni

Night Killer:

Written and directed by Claudio Fragasso with additional gore scenes by Mattei, it features a “night killer” with a razor-fingered glove. It was issued in Italy with as Non aprite quella porta 3 (implying it is the third in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series ) starring Peter Hooten and Tara Buckman;

The Beast in Heat:

A truly scuzzy Nazisploitation cash-in written and directed by Luigi Batzella, that re-uses footage from WWII movies to pad out its supposedly shocking, yet hilariously inept, exploitative scenes. Read our review
